Dear LHA Family and Friends,
On behalf of our LHA-family, the monks of Siem Reap, and the poor and suffering, I would like to extend to you my sincere thanks and deepest gratitude for your support and donation to help the flood victims. We welcome your donations and support as the signs of sharing deep compassion for the poor, the suffering of the world and your commitment to global justice. With your support, yesterday (29/10/13) for the second distribution, our team has delivered
food and other necessities to 317 families at Phnom Krom (about 12km away from Siem Reap city). Each family got: 30kg of rice, soap, canned fish, soy source, water basket, onions, salt, cooking oils, instant noodles, 10,000 riel, books, pens, pencils, pencil erasers, and other living supplies etc.
We believe that at the root of all suffering is ignorance, and that a loving care and a good education can provide a way out of poverty and suffering. Thus, responding to this belief, the LIFE AND HOPE ASSOCIATION is strongly committed to break the cycle of poverty by providing loving, compassionate support and access to education to the poorest and most vulnerable — especially children and young women. Since 2005, every day we are serving a few thousand children, students, and young girls through our six programs including Children’s Development Village, Sewing Training School, Foreign Language School, Sustainable Community, Program Advancing Girls’ Education, and Buddhism and Social Program.
Once more, on behalf of LHA, children and people we serve, I thank you for your contribution, your kindness and the goodness of your beings. May this caring, generous act generate for you and your family a bountiful store of merits that will contribute to your welfare, happiness and spiritual progress.
If you would still wish to be part of our emergency mission, kindly make a donation to us.
