Svay Rieng (Khmer: ស្វាយរៀង, literally: “aligned mangoes”) is a province in the southeast of Cambodia. The capital is Svay Rieng town. Cambodia’s National Highway 1 leads to the international border checkpoint of Bavet, which leads into Kampuchea Krom (Presently Vietnam).

Khmers in Kampuchea Krom and Cambodia are the same in race, language, religion, literature, history, heritage, culture, custom and tradition. It is slightly different in regional tonal accent when it comes to speaking.
