New Year Blessing Ceremony
Dear Devotees and Friends in the Dhamma,
You are cordially invited to participate in the New Year Blessing ceremony to be held on April 13, 2012 at 6.30p.m. The event will take place at the monastic residence of the International Shakyamuni Buddha Vihara & Vipassana Center, Inc., 140 Cottage Street, Lynn, MA 01905.
In order to commemorate the event of South Asian New Year, there will be a worship and prayer chanting of Paritta Sutta, listen to the Dhamma Talk and finally sharing merits to all sentient beings.
After the prayer all the participants will have a different taste of food offered by our Bangladeshi, Burmese, Nepalese and Vietnamese friends and families. YoMa Burmese Restaurant from Allston and Tin Hla Burmese family from Malden will bring Burmese food to share on the occasion.

A Buddhist Fundraiser to Help Complete the Buddhist High School at Wat Bophavatei, Borseth district, Kampong Speu province, Cambodia on Sunday the 10th Waxing Moon of Citta B.E.2555, April 1, A.D.2012 Year of the Rabbit
Complete ceremony: 
This future Buddhist High School has been established in B.E.2554, A.D.2010. When completed, it will be a three-storied building, length 50-meter (164-feet), width 15-meter (49-feet), located within the compound of Wat Bophavatei in Phong commune, Borseth district, Kampong Speu province, Kingdom of Cambodia.
Due to lack of funds, it is yet to be completed.

The late Mr. Ngoun Sothearith of Cambodia, age 48, passed away in Massachusetts, United States of America, on Thursday the 13th Waxing Moon of Māgasira B.E.2555, December 8, A.D.2011 Year of the Rabbit, due to heart failure.
The Khmer Cultural and Buddhist Association, KCBA , has acquired a plot of 6,524 square meters (70,224 square feet) land located at 77860 Couilly Pont-aux-Dames to build a Khmer cultural center and pagoda on October 10, 2011 in France. The Buddhist Offering Ceremony to the Triple Gems was celebrated on Sunday October 30, 2011 that attended by a few hundred of our countrymen and faithfuls in this unique and historic event in a very brotherly and joyful atmosphere.
This site is officially dedicated to Wat Muni Sikkharam, our new Khmer pagoda for Couilly Pont-aux-Dames.
