Bhikkhu Buddhasatthâ and Bhikkhu Indajoto led a number of the temple’s Board members and volunteers to prepare the Buddha Garden that will display the statues of the Blessing Buddha, the Babby Buddha, and the Alms Bowl Buddha within the compounds of Wat Kiryvongsa Bopharam, the Peace Meditation Center, Leverett, Massachusetts United States of America on Sunday the 7th Waxing Moon of Sāvaṇa, Buddhist Era 2568 equivalent to August 11, A.D.2024, Year of the Dragon. On the same day, cleaning up and flower planting took place to help beautifying the temple. Bhikkhu Dejapanno, (Birthname Pheap Phorn), age 78, passed away (deceased) in Massachusetts, United States of America on Monday the 12th Waxing Moon of Asalha, Year of the Cow, Buddhist Era 2565 equivalent to June 21, A.D.2021 during the height of COVID-19. Although the venerable did not die from COVID-19. He was a meditation practitioner and strictly adhered to the Dhamma Vinaya and that’s one of the reasons and characteristics that his meditation trainees and followers love and respect him for.

Bhikkhu Dejapanno was born in Kampong Chhnang province, Kampuchea (English Cambodia) on Monday the 12th Waning Moon of Phussa, Year of the Horse, Buddhist Era 2486 equivalent to February 1, A.D.1943 during World War II (Kampuchea was still colonized by France).

Bhikkhu Dejapanno received meditation training under the guidance of the late and renowned Khmer Buddhist Vipassana Master, the Maha Thera Ketodhammo (Birthname Som Bunthoeun) in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
